People reacted more contentiously to my mediocre 2009 review of Mount Carmel than anything I've ever written. I have to admit that when I've seen the Columbus blues rockers since then, I've felt a spark that never ignited in my prior exposure. Guessing it's me that changed, not the band, but either way, from my 2012 vantage point they're one of the city's best.
Now that I've eaten crow, please enjoy this great mini-documentary about the band by Red Bull. Catch them on tour this fall opening for Down, who gave them props at Rock on the Range last spring, and Warbeast. (via DoneWaiting)
