Three Style things to try this weekend

1) Shop Funky and Functional before its doors close for good. This antique, retro and vintage store will do its last day of business in the Short North on Saturday, Aug. 18. Everything is 50 percent off (I’ve already stocked up on nice fall outerwear, jewelry and cutlery). There’s also plenty of statement antique furniture left, which must be out of the store by 10 p.m. tomorrow. Shop it: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. After leaving the arts district, you'll be able to find Funky & Functional items at Swap, Drop & Sold flea market on Harrisburg Pike.

2) Check out SoHO Fashion & Furniture Exchange’s Fall Wall. This Dublin-based consignment store  is starting to sell its finds for cooler weather. I think it’s safe to assume you are all getting just as excited about chunky sweaters, boots and scarves as I am. Hours, address and product info here.

3) Peruse Bustown Modern’s new webstore. Duo Anessa Woods and Paul Fogt used to sell their vintage designer pieces through eBay, but last week they launched their new site, which makes buying better for the customer—no bidding!—Woods said when I interviewed her for the “What Are You Wearing?” in this week’s Columbus Alive. Even if the pieces are out of your wardrobe budget, you'll love just clicking through to see how Woods styled the unique items (she works out of a studio in her and Fogt’s Grandview home). Also, Moschino 1989 Popeye pants.  Swoon.
