A quick smattering of upcoming concerts announced while I was away:
As suspected, Rick Ross will bring his MMG Tour to the Schott on Nov. 2. Maybach Music Group associates Meek Mill and Wale and (strangely, since he isn't signed to MMG) Cleveland-based Bad Boy/Interscope signee Machine Gun Kelly round out the lineup. (If they wanted to add an Ohio talent, why not bring along Massillon's own Stalley, who is actually a part of MMG?) Tickets are on sale now for $26.75 to $66.75.

Ohio folk-rocker Jessica Lea Mayfield and her brother David Mayfield will play The Basement on Dec. 13. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for $12.
A couple late-breaking announcements: Alt-rock staple Marah will play an acoustic set this Thursday at Rumba Cafe, while longtime indie rockers Dressy Bessy play Kobo this Friday.
