Three Style things to try this weekend, Oct. 5 edition

 1) Go mad. Opulently mad! Hit up Waldo’s On High hair salon in the Short North tomorrow during Gallery Hop to see “Opulent Madness,” a photography exhibit of works by Matt Reese (of We Are Glitterati) of a concept by artist Jefferey Steele. The photos feature fashion designs for a wedding ceremony between a high-fashion, glamorous clown and her circus’ ringleader.

2) Go to the future. OK, calling this a Style section event is kind of a stretch, but dressing up in crazy stuff is October’s jam and, coincidentally, the jam of 400 West Rich’s party tonight, “400 Columbus—The Quadricentennial Celebration.” Come in futuristic clothing and get your fortune read, nosh at some food trucks, listen to live music, etc. I, of course, recommend you attend all of this after making a stop at Alive’s Rocktoberfest at the Bluestone tonight. We also encourage dressing up like robots.

3) Go channel Chanel. The iconic perfume and accessories line recently launched a special web page timeline of the company’s history. Peruse the years between 1880 and today to see gorgeous photos from past campaigns and to indulge in trivia about the luxury brand. Did you know Chanel No. 5 was so named because it was the fifth scent a perfumer presented to Mz. Chanel in 1921? Now you do, pretty.
