We already learned The Town Monster is now a duo, that they're celebrating a new album called "New Life" on Oct. 19 at Skully's and that they made a 16-minute promo film for said album. Now we get access to the lead single, "Cornfield." Despite all the talk of change and the film's hints at full-on electronic sludge in the vein of ministry, this track sounds like classic Town Monster, driven by Nathan Photos' keyboard and Matt Grady's drums trading rumbles. Photos sings, "Bury me in the cornfield," nodding to the band's geographic roots in the Midwest and stylistic roots in the campy, glamorous realm of goth and industrial. Stream or download it below.
