Of all the independent labels that have come and gone in this city over the past two decades, Anyway Records has released arguably the largest quantity of incredible records. Anyway's catalog is stacked with influential Columbus greats like Gaunt and New Bomb Turks, and it continues to release records (albeit at a slower clip) by awesome bands like Connections, The Whiles and Winter Makes Sailors. So of course label head Bela Koe-Krompecher has curated a stellar lineup of bands for Anyway's 20th anniversary celebration. Here's Bela with the details:

In celebration of 20 years of debt-making Anyway will host a two nights of shows at Ace Of Cups, December 21-22. Bands playing include: The New Bomb Turks, Moviola, Kyle Sowashes , Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments, Connections, Obnox, Necropolis (covering Gaunt), Greenhorn, Belreve, Jenny Mae, St. Lennox, Orchestraville, Winter Makes Sailors, County Pharaohs and more. Proceeds from the show will go to three charities (Peloton, Columbus Music Co-Op and NAMI Ohio). On Saturday, there will be a free kids show starting at 6 PM. Admission will be $7.

That's a staggering amount of greatness. In addition to all the Columbus rock household names, it's worth noting that this will be Belreve's first show in like 20 years. Can't wait to sit down and pick Bela's brain for a feature on this one.
