Lamps made from vintage brewery bottles, Craig Krenzel and a blowout bar.
Meet the artist. SoBo Style in Clintonville is hosting a "Meet the Artist Day" from 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10. Jay Harrison of Peared Creations makes lamps from vintage brewery bottles, iron pipes and faucet switch fixtures. Another SoBo Style event to mark your calendars with: the décor store's Annual Holiday Open House, when everything will be 10 percent off, is Saturday, Dec. 1.
Meet Craig Krenzel. The quarterback of the 2002 National Champion OSU Buckeyes will make an in-store appearance at Homage at Easton from 12 to 1 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 10. Krenzel will autograph photos and perhaps answer any questions you still might have about that insane Holy Buckeye pass, which he recently talked to Homage about on the store's podcast.
Blow out. Jolie-Laide Hair Salon in German Village recently opened a blowout bar called Blow by J.L. The team at the salon will wash and style your hair for a night out in under 45 minutes. Services start at $35 (it's $20 more for nails and eyes). Read this glowing review of Blow by J.L. from our sister publication Capital Style.
