Here's the latest wave of Columbus concert announcements:
Jack Black and Kyle Gass' occasionally brilliant, occasionally obnoxious musical comedy duo Tenacious D will play an "old-school acoustic style" show at LC Pavilion on March 6. Tickets cost $39.50 advance, $42 day of, starting 10 a.m. Friday.
NPR-friendly jazz pianist/Elvis Costello spouse Diana Krall will be at the Palace Theatre on April 24. Tickets range from $28 to $78, and you can get them starting 10 a.m. Friday.
Another theater show of note to that Starbucksy demographic: Josh Ritter headlines the Southern Theatre on April 15. That one will cost $29, also on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
Mightily entertaining underground rapper Murs returns to The Basement on Feb. 27. Those tickets are on sale now for $13.
Indie rock favorites Mice Parade will march into Tree Bar on Jan. 30. Not sure on ticket info for this one yet, but i'll be a goodie.
Lastly, CD102.5 is bringing Scotland-born, London-based rockers Django Django to the Newport for one of the station's $5 Low Dough Shows on March 13. You can get those tickets now, as stated, for $5.
