Three big Columbus concert announcements this morning:
Father John Misty, who generated headliner-level interest when he opened for The Walkmen earlier this month, will headline his own Columbus gig May 19 at the Wexner Center. The duo of Adam Green (Moldy Peaches) and Binki Shapiro (Little Joy) opens the show. Tickets cost $15 starting at 10 a.m. Friday.
Kiwi combo Atlas Genius, which played one of its first U.S. gigs last year at CD102.5 Summerfest, will be back for a 102.5-sponsored show at The Basement on June 7. Tickets cost $12 starting this Friday at 10 a.m.
(Speaking of CD102.5 concerts, check back after 4:30 p.m. for details about this year's CD102.5 Day.)
And here's one more from over the weekend: Blog-buzzy lo-fi psych project TEEN (led by Teeny Lieberson of Brooklyn mainstays Here We Go Magic) will play Double Happiness on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Tickets for that one are on sale now for a mere $5.
