Here's one of those nagging "Why can't Columbus do that?" scenarios: Last year, Cincinnati hosted its first Bunbury Festival (try Facebook if the main site is still down), bringing the likes of Weezer, Death Cab For Cutie, Guided By Voices and Jane's Addiction to the Queen City. The second installment is looking mighty fine too, with fun., MGMT and Cincinnati natives The National signed on to headline and the legendary Belle and Sebastian tucked into the lineup. Cincinnati/Columbus combo Walk the Moon, Columbus duo Twenty One Pilots and Columbus road warriors Red Wanting Blue, each experiencing huge national breakouts, will perform too. And what about Yo La Tengo, Oberhofer, Tegan and Sara and Sky Ferreira?
This is going down July 12-14 at Sawyer Point and Yeatman's Cove in Cincinnati. Tickets cost $55 per day or $110 for the weekend.
