The Appleseed Cast

Campus area hole-in-the-wall Kobo Live is ramping up its national booking game. Some of the recent fruits were announced last week, and it's feeling very emotional in a quite 1990s manner:

forgetters, Blake Schwarzenbach of Jawbreaker/Jets to Brazil's latest project, arrives March 29 with support from Bicentennial Bear, Reverse the Curse and Sleep Fleet.

BRONCHO is another blast from two decades' past, with members of Unwed Sailor and Starlight Mints. (They did a Daytrotter session.) Kanine Records band Beach Day, who might be a few years late on the whole "beach" trend, will play too.

April 14 brings the return of The Hounds Below, the Detroit rockers featuring Jason Stollsteimer of The Von Bondies. PUBLIC

The biggest of this batch has to be emo/post-rock masters The Appleseed Cast, who'll headline on April 17 with support from Ease the Medic and The End of the Ocean. (Very appropriate opening acts.) There are $8 advance tickets for that one at Kobo, Records Per Minute and Magnolia Thunderpussy.
