One of just five stops in the world is taking place about an hour outside of Columbus.
Huge news for local fans of folk-rock megastars Mumford and Sons. One of five just-announced "stopovers" on the band's 2013 Gentlemen of the Road will be taking place just down the road from Columbus in Troy, Ohio.
The website for the Mumfords' festival-like tour has been down since the announcement, but CD102.5 is reporting that the lineup for the August 30-31 show included Mumford and Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and The Vaccines, with more to be announced.
Here's a video roundup of the 2012 events:
Troy is about an hour and 20 minutes west of Columbus ... but if you're one of the 10,000 area fans that packed their sold-out "festival-style" show at the LC last summer, that drive isn't too bad for one in five stops on the planet, huh?
UPDATE: Well, after the overloaded website settled down, it looks like Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros will headline on Friday, Mumford and Sons on Saturday with the following special guests:
Old Crow Medicine Show
Half Moon Run
Two-day tickets cost $109 and go on sale this Friday at 11 a.m.
