Passion Pit

Here's a diverse assortment of shows coming to LC Pavilion's outdoor stage this summer:

Falsetto-laden synth-pop stars Passion Pit, who played LC Pavilion's indoor stage last November, will be back to play the outdoor amphitheater on June 7. Tickets will be on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for $32 ($39.85 after fees).

2012 Rock on the Range star Rob Zombie will headline a metal show with fellow ROTR alum Mastodon and Machine Head on Friday, Aug. 9. Those tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday too, and they'll run you $39 ($46.85 after fees). To prep, read my interview with Zombie from last May.

Indie rock, metal... why not The Legends of Hip Hop too? That tour, which arrives in Columbus on Saturday, June 22, features Scarface8Ball & MJG, Juvenile and... Mystikal! I'm screaming like a rabid dog right now in excitement. The lineup isn't quite A-list, but it's definitely legendary. Lawn tickets are reasonably priced at $50 ($59.35 with fees), but if you want to get up close, it'll cost you $125 ($136.30 with fees). Get your wallet ready for 10 a.m. Saturday.

Lastly, Columbus regulars and indie rock/soul staples Fitz & the Tantrums are set to return for a Tuesday, July 9 engagement. Tickets cost $25 ($32.85 after fees) and are available starting 10 a.m. Friday. I talked to band leader Michael Fitzpatrick last year too, so have a read.
