Copywrite recorded an entire album over song-by-song "Sgt. Pepper" samples

Columbus underground rap veteran Copywrite has stayed extra busy since moving back to town a few years ago, with a couple solo albums and an MHz Legacy LP since 2010. Now he's gone and released a free album built entirely on samples from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band with DJ Scratch Johnson. It's called Carbon Copy's Phony Art Pub Scam, and it features Copy rapping over music from every song on the classic Beatles LP in order. It's not really a revolutionary conceit nine years after The Grey Album, but the execution is better than most rap/rock mashups — this is better than novelty-quality music — and that cover art alone justifies the project. Also, there is a song called "Being For the Benefit of Mr. Write!" I'm guessing anyone with an interest in rap or the Beatles will find something to like here. Have a listen below, via OkayPlayer.
