In today's OMG! news — at least for those of us who work (and eat) downtown — two of Columbus favorite fooderies will be bringing their talents to the Columbus Commons. Best of Columbus winners Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams and Mikey's Late Night Slice will both be taking up residence at the downtown park.
Late Night Slice will be bringing the slice without waiting for the night. In addition to the pizza you know and love, the permanent cafe spot on the south end of the park will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and feature "Key West inspired" pressed sandwiches, as well as some breakfast offerings. Can't wait to see what they have in store. Fingers crossed for Slut Sauce omelets!
Jeni's will be opening a boutique-style "mini Jeni's" that will be serving up scoops during concerts and other official Commons activities, starting with a big Earth Day event on April 27. Keep track of them at the location's Facebook page.
Two great new additions to downtown ... now can we please just get some warm weather to enjoy them?
