Chicago rapper Kanye West, whose dark, complex Yeezus surfaced earlier this year, just announced his fall tour will stop at Nationwide Arena on Friday, November 8.
Tickets for the concert — arguably the most highly anticipated music event to hit the city this year — go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 27, and can be purchased at the Nationwide Arena box office, all Ticketmaster locations, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000.
In recent years West has drawn media attention for his frequent public rants, his headline-generating award show appearances and his high-profile marriage to the offspring of the First Family of Reality Television. His live performances, in contrast, have become increasingly raw, with the rapper stripping away all of this outside noise to reveal the understandably complex man at the center of the maelstrom.
Kendrick Lamar, fresh off a headlining turn at the inaugural Breakaway Music Festival, is slated to open the show.
