Tuesday, a fire originating in the basement at 11 E. Gay St. spread throughout the four floors of the building, causing significant fire, smoke and water damage.

According to a post on Sugardaddy's official facebook page, fire crews had to tear up parts of the floor to contain the fire that also affected the conjoining Sprint and Robert Mason stores. As of now, Sugardaddy's Downtown location is closed indefinitely.

The post called the fire "devastating to the business," but said Sugardaddy's Polaris location at 1329 Cameron Ave. will be open for business at the usual time.

A donation page has been set up to help Robert Grimmett rebuild the damaged Robert Mason store.
