Sneak peek: Oddfellow's Liquor Bar

Posted by Abernathy Miller | July 31, 2014 01:03 PM

Take the name as a promise and a warning: at Oddfellows Liquor Bar, s--- gets weird.

As the self-proclaimed “shitty place to drink in the Short North,” Oddfellows Liquor Bar (1038 N. High St.) serves craft cocktails with a side of kitsch, and is set to be the area’s premiere dive bar.

Partners Mikey Sorboro, (of Mikey’s Late Night Slice) Bryce Ungerott and Dylan Wayman aim to make the space at 1038 N. High St. central Ohio’s first “destination dive bar,” complete with custom neon signs, a 1940s bottle cooler, and a wall-mounted shark.

Oddfellows Liquor Bar doesnt open to the general public until this Saturday, but here's a little sneak peek of what to expect.

Finally! One of the custom made signs.

Surfs up!

This guy would have been right at home at Betty's Fine Food and Spirits.

The beer cooler can double as an iron lung.

This should have made the Fancy Things list.

Check out the fun for yourself on August 2. Bar hours are 3 p.m.- 2:30 a.m. For more information, head to Oddfellows Liquor Bar's facebook page.
