I know you're busy. Here's a little help planning your weekend.

It's almost impossible to think of doing anything indoors when the weather's been this unseasonally great. And yet, there's so much great stuff going on this weekend at so many Columbus establishments, whether you're looking to help convince Stone brewing to come to Columbus via a 52-bars-and-counting tap takeover or hit up a beatbox battle. Of course, if the sun's calling you that strongly, you might be interested in the Dublin Irish Festival or helping Crew legend Frankie Hejduk celebrate his 40th birthday with a beach bash. As always, here's what I'd do this weekend if I could be everywhere all the time.
Strand of Oaks at The Basement
One of the year's most engagingly transparent and honest records should make for a great concert in the cozy confines of The Basement.
Connections, Daycreeper and The Gotobeds at Kafe Kerouac
Counterfeit Madison, Envelope and Necropolis at Ace of Cups
Dublin Irish Festival at Coffman Park
"Boyhood" at Gateway Film Center
Midwest Beatbox Battle at Strongwater
Riddle me this: What's something that grows even as it shrinks? The Midwest Beatbox Battle is your answer, duh. Now in its third year, this competition has grown so much it's been split into several smaller, regional affairs. Saturday's event marks the Midwest's regional championships. Expect a packed-house, about 35-40 beatboxers and a damn good time.
"Whad'ya Know" at Fritsche Theater
Gallery Hop in the Short North
Forest & the Evergreens at Brothers Drake Meadery & Bar
Tap a Stone at various bars
Frankie Hejduk's Birthday Beach Bash at Flannagan's Dublin
Modern Cartoonist: The Art of Daniel Clowes
The last day to catch Daniel Clowes' exhibit at the Wexner. Now you know.
