It's a real heartwarmer.

“The Americans,” a new FX drama about KGB agents living in America during the 1980s, premiere tonight and it’s very, very good. Stars Keri Russell (“Felicity”) and Matthew Rhys (“Brothers & Sisters”) give incredible performances, but where “The Americans” truly shines is in creating a tense spy thriller built on character more than plot. But the Cold War spy storyline is excellent too. This is a must watch premiere, and I predict “The Americans” will prove to be a better spy series than the award-winning, cultural phenomenon “Homeland.”
