Tomorrow is the kick-off for Local Matters' Local Foods Week
North Market is celebrating the kickoff in kickstand style with another inspired Market to Market bike ride (begin or end at the Hills Market), plus their produce-packed Farmer's Market Saturday, plus a fun-filled Harvest Festival which includes judged contests for best pumpkin breads and best pumpkin (and apple) pies!
Other highlights of the week include a Grilled Cheese Throwdown at MoJoe Lounge, a local waffle breakfast in Old Worthington and a special local-emphasizing food tour with Columbus Food Adventures, which will stop at top local sourcing spots Skillet, Latitude 41, Knead and Clever Crow.
The longtime-local-loving Alana hosts a must-not-miss happy hour and family-style dinner and wine benefit this Monday night (Oct.4). Last year's chapter of this event was one of the most memorable and best full-on local celebrating dinners I had the entire year! More on that local blowout the day of the party!
So show some local love and greet the new fall weather in high old style--or stay home and be cheap, boring and miserable. It's your choice.
