Last Thursday, a rainbow shone through the foreboding gray skies hovering over Huntington Park. This seemed like a fitting symbol of hope for the homeless animals being helped at that night's fundraiser for the Capital Area Humane Society
Among the many caring restaurants donating time, energy and food that evening, none shone brighter than the tuna and (not shown) English pea shooters made by Johnny Dornback, the fabulous chef from one of our best, Basi Italia.
I can't wait to see --and taste!--what Johnny whips up at next week's must-attend Taste of Dine Originals --easily one of the premier food, drink and mingle events of the entire year. I'll probably have more on ToDO, soon, but know that the 2011 version is being held next Thursday (for the first time) at the gorgeous Grange Audubon Center! See you there.
