On the left is a sauteed-to-bronze-perfection scallop; its platemates are some of the absolute best fish-n-chips in town (made with Lake Erie walleye). In fact a friend of mine (and walleye maniac) from Minnesota once told me Windward's walleye is second only to that of his mom's--that's high praise!
Still, I bet my friend's mom doesn't have a thoroughly wacky nautical setting to enjoy the fish in.
Bonuses: Windward also makes pretty great steaks, ribs and homemade potato chips. Plus it's packed with superannuated regulars knocking back Scotch like nobody's business. Yeah, this place is bunches of fun (hint: go at lunch when it's especially cheap and daily specials can be had for a song).
