I had a delightful breakfast at Pistacia Vera last week, including the best quiche this side of Rue de Rivoli and the best cappuccino this side of the Piazza Navonna.

Great as that coffee was, Flora knows caffeine just makes her jittery an hour later.

Continuing on my Downtown eating path, I later had lunch at Flatiron Bar & Diner.

Then I took the niece and nephew to check out the new and exciting Scioto Mile. We raced to get under the tracks right as a train sped by overhead.

Kids joyously ran in, out, and all over the water-sprouting fountains

Later Friday, Mrs. Benton and I had a great time serving wine with Brothers Drake and Maize Valley Winery at the North Market Food & Ohio Wine Festival, then walked a few blocks north to explore L'Antibes's new patio and small plates menu.
