Local growers to convene at Columbus Public Health campus

Got word from Mayor Coleman's office that food producers from across central Ohio will ge offering their wares at the Columbus Public Health campus at 240 Parsons, in Olde Towne East, on August 2, 9 and 16.

Markets run from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Thursday.

“Our Farmers Markets help remove some of the barriers of accessing healthy foods by bringing fresh fruits and vegetables directly to our neighborhoods,” says Dr. Teresa Long, health commissioner. “It is one way we are working to help people live healthier and safer lives because good nutrition is a critical factor in addressing chronic health conditions such as diabetes, overweight and obesity.”
