This will be my last Nature Notes posting for a bit, since I'm going to Los Angeles -- where no wildlife can survive and every inch of Earth has been paved. (I heard a good stand-up routine questioning why anyone in LA would need an SUV, since there is no off-road...only road.)

Wild turkeys to be released in Marysville The National Wild Turkey Federation, a conservation group founded in 1973, will release numerous wild turkeys in Marysville on Thursday, November 15, at 10 a.m. This event is part of their ongoing education and repopulation efforts.
