Before the torrential downpour overtook Downtown about two hours ago, the Pearl Market was going strong. Scores of people were bustling through the intersection of Pearl and Lynn streets, buying fresh produce, baked goods and handmade jewelry. A bluegrass band was picking banjos, and local restaurants had patios packed.
Judging by last year's success and the good turnout, you should expect lots of good things from the growers and merchants who will set up from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday and Friday until October 31.
