Artist: The End of the World Track: "Someone Else's Dollar" Album: French Exit Listen

Here's some more more tasteful indie-pop -- easy listening, our generation's version of yacht rock. Call it precious with a bit of edge. Actually, I'd call it somewhat samey, but a thriving market for this music must exist or these bands wouldn't be pouring out of Brooklyn like rats from a ship that's somehow sinking and on fire.

Yikes. That's a bit harsh. This band has one thing going for it: Members don't sound like they're trying too hard to sound precious or edgy. They're content to play solid tunes with a bit of flash and feeling. Can't fault men for that.

The entire album's streaming here for a week.
