Fly-fishing legend Kelly Gallup will be at Mad River Outfitters Friday-Saturday, Feb. 27-28, to teach and tie some flies.

Gallup has been a guide for more than 27 years, starting in Michigan at the age of 16. He ran The Troutsman fly shop in Traverse City, Michigan, until 1981, when he moved to Montana. He and his wife now operate the Slide Inn. Kelly has been published by numerous fishing magazines and is editor-at-large for Fly Fisherman magazine.

Modern Streamers and the Madison River Feb. 27, 7 p.m. General program with Gallup. Registration required. Cost is free. Tying Modern Streamers Feb. 28, 8 a.m. Master class with Gallup. Registration limited to 10 students, who should be intermediate or advanced tyers. Cost is $50. Advanced Streamer Techniques and Tactics Feb. 28, 3 p.m. Seminar Gallup. Registration limited to 20 students. Cost is $25.
