Users who are buying at the price and weight level of Eureka's Apex II probably won't be in situations more extreme than what I put it through last week: cold, soaking rains, hot sun and winds that crested 40 mph. It stood up well for its $105 price tag. It stayed warm and relatively dry, and two elongated vestibules thwarted more fearsome gusts.

The only drawback is that it's a pretty tight fit for two sleeping pads. Weighing four pounds, eight ounces, it could be a bit roomier.
