Chris DeVille serves up a fresh batch of Lunch Break Links
Here we have the online home of The Sound of Young America, one of the programs keeping the audio podcast fresh in the era of infinite online video. Of course, the entertainment-focused interview show is on public radio, too, but I have a sneaking suspicion most of its savvy young listeners access the show online. Recent and upcoming guests include musician Rhett Miller, the comedic trio Human Giant, cast members from HBO's The Wire and rock band The Hold Steady. Jesse Thorn's "radio show about things that are awesome" is, in fact, awesome itself.
Two .org sites this week! The second is a bimonthly magazine and daily blog covering urban cycling culture. Download issues for free, order print copies for a small fee or just peruse the entries for the latest news and insight on gear, events, bike advocacy and more. If you've hopped on a bike to save your wallet and are looking to fully embrace the culture, log on to find out what's happening on two wheels in cities nationwide. Learn how to pimp out your fixed-gear, read about fascinating figures in the cycling universe or find out when there's an alleycat race coming up in a city near you.
