As veterans of the Columbus Museum of Art's Art Fusion event, we were delighted to discover the party outdid itself -- again -- this year. The weather was spectacular, the sculpture-garden setup was fabulous and the crowd seemed larger than in years past.

As veterans of the Columbus Museum of Art's Art Fusion event, we were delighted to discover the party outdid itself -- again -- this year. The weather was spectacular, the sculpture-garden setup was fabulous and the crowd seemed larger than in years past.

We saw many new faces and several beautiful fashion statements, such as the eye-catching white gown worn by Kristi Hill and the glamorous black dress on Rebekah Gee.

This year's menu was full of hearty mini delicacies like tomato-basil crostini with fresh mozzarella, curried chicken and Szechwan grilled shrimp with ponzu sauce. The signature Pom Fizz Fusion drink, a popular concoction of pomegranate liqueur, champagne and pomegranate seeds, came "highly recommended" by sisters Molly and Nikki Betts.

After guests mingled for hours under the night sky, the entire soiree was moved inside to the Derby Court. There, Art Fusion partygoers met up with Art Ball attendees for dancing and desserts. They also had an opportunity to wander through Objects of Wonder, an exhibit of artifacts and memorabilia from Ohio State, each with its own unique story.
