Most men hate the slowness associated with shopping. Flipping through racks and carrying a dozen things to the dressing room? No thanks.
How great would it be to pick things up while hanging out at a friend's house?
That's how easy it is for Bruno Dragicevic. Although he's got more stamina for shopping than most, he's been getting a lot of his favorites lately through a friend's online retail site, JackThreads.com.
The months-old, brand-name men's streetwear site operates out of Dragicevic's friend's North Side house, and since he helps with order processing, getting his hands on what's new is that easy. He picks up basics at American Apparel and finds other favorites at Milk Bar.
Dragicevic can't label his style, but said there's a sort of formula for what he wears - and it all starts with the shoes. He's gathered a collection that covers every color of the rainbow, including lots of favorite Jordans and Nike SB Dunks, from local shops like Sole Classics.
Then he usually grabs a pair of not-too-skinny, not-too-wide jeans - he loves A.P.C. Denim - and chooses from one of his many screenprinted tees scrawled with patterns or phrases.
"I like shirts with big letters on them," Dragicevic said. "I don't know why."
He typically tops it all off with a color-contrasting scarf and a patterned hoodie.
But that's never set in stone, because Dragicevic tries to stay unpredictable, never copying his style from others or allowing himself to be copied.
"When I'm walking down the street, random people are like, 'Oh, I like your shoes,' 'I like your shirt,' 'He's so fly,' things like that," he said. "It's always nice to get noticed."
