Week in review
QB Brett Favre and the Jets were ultimately the Titans' undoing. Lost in all the talk about QB Matt Cassel's second 400-yard game in a row was QB Chad Pennington's career-high 341-yard effort. Depending on your scoring system, he nabbed more than 30 points.
QB Philip Rivers puts up the points, but can't pull out the win. And is RB LaDainian Tomlinson on the downside of his career? He turned in another pedestrian start against a below-average defense.
QB Drew Brees really piles up the points in the dome.
Who to Start
Where have you gone, Donovan McNabb? Is the Kevin Kolb era about to start in Philly? Not yet. The Eagles will start McNabb at QB. You should not.
The Lions always seem to find themselves playing on Thanksgiving. If you have a tossup situation, maybe go with Detroit. The Cowboys should, er, "feast" on the Seahawks. Start any and all Cowboys.
The Bills might be tired after running up 54 on the Chiefs, but RB Marshawn Lynch and QB Trent Edwards should still do well against the 49ers. Similarly, RB Michael Turner had a big game last week, but returns to San Diego, where he spent years as Tomlinson's backup. You gotta start him.
How about QB Jeff Garcia at home versus the Saints D, who have a very hard time stopping the pass? They did get three picks against Green Bay, though.
Speaking of that, seeing as how the Saints picked him three times, QB Aaron Rodgers may have a tough go of it against the Panthers D.
Waiver Wire Watch
Bit of a mishmash out there. Hard to tell which one-week wonders will stick. RB Le'Ron McClain, RB Maurice Morris, WR Isaac Bruce? More often than not, they don't, but if you've got an injury or a particularly bad matchup, you may want to take a chance.
No byes, but three Thursday games!
