Will the real Denver Broncos please stand up?
Was it the weather that affected QB Peyton Manning in Cleveland? QB Jake Delhomme struggled too in Green Bay. It pays to check conditions, particularly this time of year.
The season is winding down. Are you still in it? If not, you have to keep setting those rosters. You owe it to your league. Also, why not experiment? Try out a hot prospect on the waiver wire. Don't go haywire and start QB Ken Dorsey, but test those trends you think you've noticed.
Who to start
Weather won't be a factor when the Bills host the Dolphins - the game is in Toronto's Roger Centre, formerly the SkyDome. That said, these offenses are feast-or-famine much of the time.
QB Gus Frerotte looked good Sunday night, thanks mostly to two big plays. He gets another chance to shine this week against the Lions.
Something's gotta give. Will the Jets start to choke now that it's December, or will Brett Favre perform more late-season miracles? Probably the latter.
QB Kurt Warner is back home and facing his old team, the Rams, and should be back in the groove. RB Steve Slaton may not match his 130-yard, two-TD performance from Monday night, but should do well against the Packers D.
QB Tony Romo and the Cowboys may be back, but they face a tough test against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Choose your Cowboys carefully.
Waiver wire watch
Still having QB troubles? Kerry Collins is still available in many leagues. He faces a very suspect secondary this week against the Browns. Similarly, Jeff Garcia and Shaun Hill(!) are also serviceable options.
RB Peyton Hillis is also on a lot of waiver wires. Looks like he'll be the feature back for the Broncos.
