Thanks to the party-planning expertise of promoters Corso, Gallicchio & Swanson Ventures, the New Year's Eve Gala at the recently remodeled Renaissance hotel promises to bring all the best of the night's celebrations under one roof.

The entire hotel will be dedicated to the party, providing five banquet rooms and three ballrooms with different live entertainment, and an open bar and VIP lounge, with house restaurant Latitude 41 covering the catering. And, of course, a champagne toast is part of the plan.

The wide range of live music and various atmospheres makes the Gala a one-stop-shop for New Year's Eve partying. "We don't want to be a niche market," said coordinator Mike Gallicchio. "There is something for everybody. People looking for something different - this is the place to be."

To dance their way into the new year, partygoers will hear everything from Top 40 to trance. The lineup includes DJ Samurai, Dave Espionage, and renowned underground DJ George Acosta, who was whisked away from New Year's hot spot Miami to spin tracks in Columbus. Local rockers LoveSick Radio (pictured) will also kick out the jams.

Couples are often in the majority at New Year's parties, but expect to see a good number of group parties and singles mingling at the Renaissance. Corso hopes everyone will feel welcome and up for a great time, with or without company.

Tickets are $99, with a VIP upgrade available for an extra $49; they're on sale in advance through the event website. Tickets will also be available at the door, but will only be issued in the name of the purchaser at that time.
