Apologies to Shari Lewis fans hoping to hear "The Song That Doesn't End," but the Lambchop performing at the Wex is the longstanding ensemble fronted by Kurt Wagner.

Apologies to Shari Lewis fans hoping to hear "The Song That Doesn't End," but the Lambchop performing at the Wex is the longstanding ensemble fronted by Kurt Wagner.

The group comes to Ohio to promote OH (ohio), a collection that finds Lambchop drifting farther than ever from its original identity as "Nashville's most f---ed-up country band."

For more than a decade, Wagner's crew has been developing into a stately, straightforward chamber pop outfit that comes off utterly classy despite lingering traces of supreme weirdness. (Call it the Magnetic Fields School of Songwriting and Performance.)

Country, soul and indie rock simmer in the mix as Wagner unspools thoughtful screeds that unfortunately have little to do with our fair Buckeye State. With no opening act, the band will have time to perform these new selections and dig deep into their rich back catalog. Be prompt - they'll begin at 8 p.m. sharp.
