Lars Ulrich was a big fan of The Sword's debut, Age of Winters (which he no doubt purchased for a fair price), and when he checked out one of the band's gigs in San Francisco, he was sold.

The underground darlings have been Metallica's preferred opening act since then, joining them for several tours including the leg that stopped in Columbus last fall. In fact, the pair will embark on another jaunt next week.

But first The Sword will rock Ravari Room Sunday with Year Long Disaster and The Suede Brothers. Come see what the fuss is all about, and pick up a copy of the new Gods of the Earth for good measure.
