What do you like to wear?

I can't spend that much on clothes. I just can't bring myself to do it. I splurge on things like bags. And I splurge on makeup.

What makeup do you love?

When I graduated from college, I was like, I'm going to invest in some good makeup. And I got all kinds of Stila stuff. If I was on a deserted island, I would take ChapStick, because I'm a ChapStick freak, and mascara. Right now, I'm into the cheapie Maybelline Great Lash. I've tried them all.

What's your favorite store?

I'm a Target fiend. I can always find something cheap and cute.

What dominates your closet?

I'm a big cotton girl. I tend to buy earthy tones - I have a lot of greens and blues and maroons. And I'm recently into purple, which is weird ... it's always been my least-favorite color.

How has your style changed over time?

I used to be a big tomboy. And then I got my hair cut super-short and was forced to do my hair every day, so I was like, "Well, I might as well put some more effort into this."

The outfit:

Cardigan: from Target

T-shirt: "I don't even remember where I got this. Probably Old Navy."

Scarf: from New Orleans, a gift from a friend. "I wear a scarf every day."

Leggings: from Target

Bag: Bebe

Ring: H&M

Necklace: Forever 21

Shoes: from Target. "Heels are my best friend because I'm only five-foot-four, so I try to milk it for all it's worth."

Earrings: pearls from Sea World mounted on posts. "I was a marine biology major. I was the kid that was always really excited to go to Sea World every summer."
