Kudos to Calendar Editor Nikki Davis for passing along today's pair of voyeuristic pleasures. First up is Post Secret, "an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a postcard." The cards are almost universally poignant. For instance, an American flag emblazoned with this message: "I don't want to admit that I'm gay because I still dream of becoming president." But some of them are less weighty: "I choose what I wear each morning by whether it will fuel someone's dirty librarian fantasy." The site has spawned several books and numerous live events, including a recent stop at Miami University in Oxford.

Next up is a similar but simpler repository of skeletons in the closet. F*** My Life is a public forum that allows users to upload Twitter-length anecdotes about their recent misfortunes. Entries range from silly ("Today I cut myself with child-proof scissors") to outright weird ("Today I was having sex with my boyfriend. When he was about to orgasm, he screamed 'Yes Brittany!' at the top of his lungs. My name's not Brittany. That's his sister."). The clientele seems to skew a little young - lots of stories about grades, principals and locker rooms - but the content is often quite adult and almost always embarrassingly revealing. Interactivity bonus: You can vote on whether these people deserve sympathy: "I agree, your life is f***ed" or "You deserved that one."
