This is what your brain looks like on Project Runway.

Fashion Feud, a live fashion design battle that pits two local designers against each other, takes the fashion faceoff to a whole new level. The designers get just an hour to design an outfit using a surprise grab-bag of fabrics for a female model to wear on the spot.

The event happens Wednesday at Milk Bar, where audience members will chose between local designers Matthew Busch and Suenita Banwaree's final designs by awarding their applause.

Busch, a graduate of the Virginia Marti College of Art and Design, has a gothic design style, said Milk Bar owner Kareem Jackson, who chose the contestants after reviewing portfolios. Banwaree, a Columbus College of Art & Design grad, likes to create high-end runway looks.

"It's pretty cool because the designers are creating their designs live for the hour and hair and makeup artists [from Phia Salons] are doing the models to match the direction the designers are going," said Adam Bauer of Big Sky Media, which is bringing the event to cities all over the country. "It's definitely a constant event. There's always stuff going on on the stage."

The winner gets a cash prize from Scion and advances to a final competition in May against the winner of a second faceoff April 15.
