"The yellow shoes are kind of my trademark. They're noticeable and they seem to go with a lot of things."

Job: Graphic designer at Chute Gerdeman

Neighborhood: Grandview

Hometown: Dayton

Label your style: "Classic and girly, with trendy touches"

What do you like to wear?

I can wear jeans to work, so I'm hardly ever not in them. And cardigans. My closet's mostly black and gray and white, and I'll throw in bits of color.

Where do you like to shop?

Forever 21 and Express. Whatever you feel like, they're going to have something.

Are there things you gravitate toward?

Pearl necklaces and ruffled shirts. I come home with two more ruffled shirts, and I'm like, "God, why do I have so many freaking ruffled shirts?" And I have tiny pearls, huge pearls, medium-sized pearls, pearls on chains, layered pearls - lots of pearls.

What kind of shoes do you like?

The yellow shoes are kind of my trademark. They're noticeable and they seem to go with a lot of things.

What about accessories?

I like to layer necklaces - mostly pearls and chain-like items. I call it "edgy," but I know in the real world it's not edgy. It's more like "less prim and proper." The Coach scarf is my attempt at high-fashion. I try to throw in a little twist whenever I can.

What do you read or watch to get fashion ideas?

I like the blog Frugal Fashionista a lot because it follows celebrities but breaks their outfits down into ones that are affordable. I read Harper's Bazaar and Teen Vogue. I watch Gossip Girl, and that's where I get a lot of it.
