Friday brings another "Chick Flick Friday" selection, as well as a series premiere: Steel Magnolias. Veteran director Herbert Ross' 1989 weeper lets the wisecracks fly from Dolly Parton, Sally Field, Olympia Dukakis and Shirley MacLaine, until a tragic Julia Roberts gets in the way.

South Pacific closes the '09 series on Saturday and Sunday. The 1958 musical features Mitzi Gaynor as a U.S. army nurse with two different suitors who still finds time for song-and-dance numbers like "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair."
