"This is exactly how I like to dress. This is just a sweater, but it's got something to it."
Job: General manager at the M/I Home store at Easton
Neighborhood: Northwest Side
Label your style: "Classic, but not boring."
What are your top three favorite stores?
Anthropologie, Ann Taylor and DSW.
What do you like to wear?
This is exactly how I like to dress. This is just a sweater, but it's got something to it. When I go to Anthropologie, my eyes skim over everything and I look for color and I look for patterns, but classic - not wild paislies and flowers and stuff. I pull out what I think suits me. I'm not the kind of person who'll go, "Well, I'll give this a try."
Why does this style work for you?
For work, I have to dress for business, but it's also a place where people come to figure out style. And I think I should look put-together, because we've got to put their houses together.
Is it dangerous for you to work in a mall?
Yeah, because sometimes I get the urge to get something new.
So do you have a big clothing collection?
No, I wouldn't say I do. I shop sales and stock up on classics. When I look in my closet, it's mostly tans and browns, navys, black. I don't like to stress about my clothes. I don't spend my money on trends, and that money I spend on shoes and handbags. I don't have a whole lot of costume-y jewelry.
