You're more likely to get uninvited overnight guests than condolences if you mention you live in one of the city's various urban neighborhoods - and the annual Victorian Village Tour of Homes has played no small part in the reversal of fortune.

You're more likely to get uninvited overnight guests than condolences if you mention you live in one of the city's various urban neighborhoods - and the annual Victorian Village Tour of Homes has played no small part in the reversal of fortune. Started 35 years ago to showcase what a little vision, a lot of elbow grease and some landscaping can do for long-neglected neighborhoods, the tour offers a peek into the homes and gardens of 10 spaces in Victorian Village, Harrison West and Italian Village. An added bonus this year is the addition of the Westminster-Thurber Towers, where a three-apartment tour and spectacular rooftop views are promised.
