Like the Avett Brothers crossed with Simon & Garfunkel, Good Old War romps through urban and rural folk traditions with plenty professional slickness but no regard for regional propriety.

Like the Avett Brothers crossed with Simon & Garfunkel, Good Old War romps through urban and rural folk traditions with plenty professional slickness but no regard for regional propriety. Harmonies abound, and they're sweet as can be - maybe even too sweet. There's an overwhelming tameness to the tunes on last year's Only One Way to Be Alone that might scare away anyone who likes their folk singers to guzzle whiskey and not Bud Light. But folks who dig the aforementioned acts will probably get their kicks at Friday's show. Cast Spells and Hezekiah Jones will play too.
