"I try not to go to the mall, but as I look at my clothes, I notice that I've got a lot of stuff from the mall."

Job: Product and program manager at MindLeaders

Neighborhood: German Village

Hometown: Pecatonica, Illinois

Age: 30

Label your style: "Timeless"

Where do you like to shop? Rag-O-Rama, other thrift stores and online, from sites like Zappos.com. I try not to go to the mall, but as I look at my clothes, I notice that I've got a lot of stuff from the mall. A lot of it is from department stores, and I've modified it.

Like what? I've got some Banana Republic boots that I took sandpaper to that weathered them. I've got my turkey hat - it's furry all over - that I found at a thrift store, but then I took shoe polish and black spray paint to color it.

What else do you have that falls into the "crazy" category? My favorite outfit is probably my kurta, a real long shirt and a pajama pants kind of look, and I wear it to ComFest every year. It's pretty badass.

Do you hang onto things for a while? I have a lot of old stuff that I like, and people don't know that I've had it for so long. That's what I mean by "timeless."

Where do you get ideas about what you like? It's sad, but I do get both GQ and W. It's kind of a guilty pleasure. I like the pictures.

Is there anything you're shopping for right now? A Burberry duffle coat. I really, really, really want one.

Do you have any favorite products? Aveda Grooming Clay and Emporio Armani cologne.
