Gallery season is winding down as the end of the year/decade approaches, but there's still time to catch the latest work by Columbus artist Queen Brooks. On display until Dec. 27, Brooks' Conversations is worth the trip to the Short North's Kiaca Gallery. The multi-talented Brooks is a photographer, educator and past owner of former Short North mainstay ACE Gallery. Her recent output showcases an assortment of colorful, three-dimensional abstracts referencing people and places from her past. Incorporating overlapping geometric shapes interspersed with beads, shells and various found objects, Conversations is a conversation starter for people of all backgrounds.
