"I think the older you get, your clothes should match your age. Thirties - less cleavage, still fun, bright colors."
Job: Relationship manager at United Way of Central Ohio
Neighborhood: Canal Winchester
Hometown: North Columbus
Label your style: "Classy, but fun"
Where do you like to shop?
I shop at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls and consignment shops. There's a little boutique in Grandview that I happened to stumble upon called Coco Couture. I'm in love with that place.
I also catalog-shop. I love Spiegel. I get the catalog because I like to physically hold it and look, and then I get online and order.
What's your shopping strategy?
I don't like buying off the mannequin - in fact, I can't believe I wore a suit today, because I don't like coordinates. But I have an event later on today, so I have to be appropriate.
What kind of impression do you try to give?
Stylish, definitely, but also classy. I think the older you get, your clothes should match your age. Thirties - less cleavage, still fun, bright colors.
Where do you get ideas?
Everywhere. I would say the style section in Essence magazine. And definitely my mother. We grew up shopping at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, so I learned how to put pieces together because you could never really find the jacket to match the pants that you just found. And then just knowing what looks good on me.
What are your favorite products?
I'm a product junkie. I will try anything. I'm into Aveda right now - the skin-care line, I love the hair-care line, perfume.
