How did you get into bartending?
It was kind of an accident. I was waiting tables at a restaurant a couple weeks after I turned 18. I worked in the bar side as the cocktail waitress.
One night a bartender no-called, no-showed. So they asked if I could figure it out, because you can bartend at 18 in Tennessee. I was like, yeah, because you can't have a cooler job when you're 18 and in high school.

How does Columbus compare to Tennessee?
It's warmer, for one thing. But there's a lot of the same vibe. We take football just as seriously in the South. SEC football is serious business.

What do you drink?
I'm pretty simple. I'm a Jack Daniel's and Budweiser girl. Every once in a while, I'll have a PBR. It's a good down-home drink that makes me think of Tennessee.
Where do you go to grab a drink?
I lived in Grandview for most of the time I've lived in Columbus, so Marshall's is where I spent most of my time. They have a great happy hour and the bartenders are awesome.
What can people expect when they come to G Worthy's?
It's not so much meant to cater to a certain age group. We've got enough stuff for a lot of the young professionals that are invading Worthington, plus a lot of good Scotches, whiskeys and wines for the people who've lived in Worthington forever. We want it to be their neighborhood bar.
One of the owners is big on bombs, so this is the House of Bombs. We have 25 flavors of bombs. We literally have everything you can think of - Kiwi Strawberry, Tropical Punch.
